Hunslet 120 "Mathilda"
This 1969 10 ton Hunslet is one of two we purchased from a Texas scrap dealer in 2021. It originally saw service with the Inco nickel mines in Manitoba, Canada before they quit using their narrow gauge railroad in the 1990s. The unit is powerd by a 55hp 4 cylinder Deutz diesel engine. We renumbered it as 120 and nicknamed it "Mathilda" after the owner's paternal grandmother.

Plymouth 5T HSG "#583"
This 1969 5T HSG Plymouth locomotive is one of two we purchased from Daryl Grannis in 2026. The 5T stands for 5 tons while the HSG stands for Hydrostatic Gasoline. These compact industrial switchers were made by Plymouth Locomotive Works (Fate-Root-Heath Company) in Plymouth, Ohio. They originally saw service at the Badger Army Ammunition Plant near Baraboo, Wisconsin (frequently referred to as Badger Ordnance) until the plant ceased production in 1975. They were then mothballed until 1999 when they were sold through federal government surplus auctions.

Huntsville #12 Trolley
Excursion Car #2390
This was the first passenger car we built in 2023. It uses a pair of trucks and wheelsets from a Badger Ordance flat car. Beyond the wheels and trucks, we built every bit of it from scratch in our own shop. Phil Cudd designed the car and Todd Moreland did the majority of the fabrication with assistance from the rest of the team. Each car is 30' long and 7' wide.
Excursion Car #2490
This was the second excursion car we built. We were so happy with the way the first car (#2390) turned out, we built this as an exact replica.
Side Dump Dirt Cars
We have six of these side dump dirt cars from the Palmetto Brick Company. We purchased eight of them in 2022 and have since converted two into log cars. The cars have a mix of both arch-bar and plate-girder designs for wheel systems. We believe the cars were originally standard gauge before being converted to 36" gauge.
Log Cars
We removed the tops of two side dump dirt cars from Palmetto Brick Company to make these very useful log cars.
Badger Flat Cars
We have five 20' flat cars originally from the Badger Army Ammunition Plant. We received the first two from Rick Rowlands back in 2021. We received three more from Daryl Grannis in 2026.
Atlas Work Car
We built this "Work Car" based on an old frame from Atlas Powder Company located 5 miles south of Joplin Missouri. We keep all our track maintenance tools and hardware in this car. It's a great asset for building and maintaining track. It can even haul the crew as shown in this photo.
